First week at the Navy Yard

As the first week comes to an end, I can only imagine what’s in store for the 2014 Designing the Parks team and myself. We’ve had some great conversations and meetings in the office at State St and outside of the office as well. We had the chance to meet our fellow Olmsted Center employees at the Charlestown Navy Yard office as they gave us a warm welcome and introduction to the many entities of landscape architecture and preservation. I look forward to working with them this summer and contributing to the Branching Out program.

We also had the chance to hike up to the Bunker Hill Monument, climbing the 294 steps! Reaching the top was for sure a climb but worth it as I captured pictures of the whole city view of Boston. I’m very excited to be here with the Olmsted Center and can’t wait to see the results of my work as an intern.
